Do I have the right to choose City Body Repairs? My insurance company wants me to take my car to...!

Under California  State Law, you have the right to take your car to the shop of your choice. Your insurance Company may ask if you want to learn about their body shop referral program, but you are under no obligation to listen to the suggestion. Simply saying, “Thank You! but I already have chosen City Body Repairs” will guarantee full cooperation with your decision. In most cases your Insurance Company knows of the high quality of repairs performed by City Body Repairs and understands your concerns to have your car repaired to Factory Standards. You may be surprised to find out your insurance company supports your decision in choosing City Body! They too, want your car repaired to your satisfaction.

How can we help on insurance negotiations?
 
We know how to make things easy for insurance agents and adjusters, too. That means all-inclusive computer generated collision damage reports, immediate notification of any further developments and no surprises at the conclusion of a job. You are our customer; we want you fully statisfied with the repair experience.

How do I protect my warranty?
 
When your dealer recommends City Body Repairs, you have entered into a repair system that is designed to smooth out the repair process not only during the repair but beyond as well. City Body will work with the dealer to return the car to Factory Standards. It is important to know that any future conflicts between Factory warranties, City Body’s warranty and related accident damage issues, will be handled by City Body and the dealer. We will fairly represent your claim to the Insurance Company for payment. If not covered by Insurance, City Body’s or the Factory warranty will take care of the claim per the terms of the written warranty at time of service!!

Trading in my car or my lease is up, now what?

The best reason to take your car to City Body Repairs might just be that when the time does come to part with your car, you just hand over the keys to the dealer! We will extend our warranty and service to the dealer for a period of inspection and correction of warranty items. No need to worry about the fact your car was ever damaged! If you want to have your car pre-checked for related items prior to the dealer inspection, we will gladly perform a free warranty inspection and take care of any details related to, and covered by our warranty.  Will the parts be ordered before I drop off my vehicle for repair?

We generally order your vehicle's parts when you schedule your vehicle for repair. This enables us to provide quicker turnaround time.

If  my vehicles frame is damaged, is it a total loss?

Not necessarily. Generally speaking a vehicle is a total loss when the price of repairs exceeds the insurance company's determined value of your vehicle. Regardless of the type of repair, our highly skilled technicians, with the aid of our state-of the-art computer measuring system, can return your vehicle to its original factory specifications. If it is determined that a section is bent or crushed beyond repair, that section can simply be replaced.

Can you match my paint color?
 
Today's modern factory finishes incorporate multiple layers of highly specialized coats. City Body Repairs Inc. has made a major investment in the finest paint system available and constantly upgrades its training and technology to ensure that each vehicles paint matches. We take special pride in our ability to match every vehicles finish.

How long will the repairs to my vehicle take?

Your advisor can give you an approximate amount of time it will take to complete the repairs to your vehicle. Each repair and situation is a little different. Be sure to check with your advisor for an estimated completion date.

Can I get a ride when I drop off my vehicle?
 
Yes, we would be happy to provide this service to you within 5 miles of our facility. We can also arrange to have your vehicle towed if it is not drive-able. In certain cases we can arrange delivery of your vehicle as well. Ask your advisor for details.

Can I get a rental vehicle?

If you need a rental vehicle, we can help you make the necessary arrangements. Insurance companies will only pay for a rental vehicle if you have that option on your policy or if you are a claimant against another person’s insurance company. Check your policy and/or call the paying insurance company to find out what your specific limitations are.

What are betterment charges?

Parts wear out and need replacement with time and use. Tires, batteries, upholstery and suspension parts are commonly subject to betterment charges when they are replaced during the repair process. These betterment charges are determined by the insurance company and are pro-rated based on the year, condition and mileage, of your vehicle.

Who do I pay my deductible to?

When you pick up your vehicle it will be your responsibility to pay all moneys owed for the repairs to City Body Repairs Inc. If you aren't sure about your deductible, you can call your claims representative to find out whether your deductible will be waived or if it must be paid.

What forms of payment do you accept?

The easiest and most convenient way to pay for your portion of the repairs to your vehicle is with a major credit card. We accept Visa & MasterCard. We also accept: cash, insurance checks, personal checks, certified checks, or money orders.
